Did you catch my nifty title reference? I loved that movie. Oh, the 80's. Tom Selleck's hot factor is timeless, no? Maybe because the stache reminds me of my very own Mr.
Anyways...

Yesterday was a girls day (plus little man) for some shopping and lunch. Shannon, on the right has made some appearances here at the blog before. She's my teaching wing-woman. We've been together for 6 years and are joined at the hip August - June. I love her to pieces. Brooke, in the middle was Shannon's student teacher 3 years ago. She is the quintessential girl from high school that you dreamed to be. She's gorgeous, beyond nice, married to prince charming, and now currently living in Hawaii. Since Brooke came back for a summer visit we all had to get together for some catching up time.

I love the picture above. Here is why: Shannon and Brooke are adorable, wearing maxi dresses and accessories to drool over. Me on the other hand... a shirt that has easy boob access, bra strap hanging out because Donovan had been pulling on my shirt all afternoon, and greasy bangs from the sweat that was produced from being his human trampoline while we ate lunch. Moms out there, can I get an AAAAAAAAmen?
Onto the shopping. I bought this shirt (below) at
my favorite store for my birthday in March. I had a birthday discount coupon and some gift cards that were burning a hole in my pocket. But you won't believe how much I paid for this dang thing. Let me preface this by saying, there was nothing on the sale racks and my birthday coupon was expiring so I spent.... drum roll... $80!!!! For ONE shirt!
Are you rolling your eyes yet?
To make matters worse, I wore it like 3 times before 2 mysterious holes appeared in the fabric. I hate anthro quality lately.

But they redeemed themselves today when I took it back in and without hesitation they loaded that $80 back on to a gift card and then I was able to shop with the girls like the good old days. Lucky for me the sale racks were loaded this time and I got these 2 things for less than $80 which gives me an incentive to go back and find something again next time I'm out and about.

The shopping gods were smiling on me, I think.
Next, it was lunch time. Peach margaritas all around.

Auntie Shannon volunteered to be a trampoline for a little while, too.
And a very smily little boy was happy to call it quits at shopping and return back home again.
The End
