Friends, I may be way too self self absorbed here. Please forgive me. But I've never been so excited to get my hair cut! I mentioned in my last post that I have finally grown my hair out to a length that is unheard of for Mrs. Hein. My hair takes forever to grow and I rarely have the patience to allow it to get longer than just passed my shoulders. So this was a big deal for me.
Here it is yesterday morning. The plus side of long hair... my husband likes it better this way, it feels feminine, easy to put in a pony tail to get it out of the way, you can do different hairstyles with it: braids, half ups etc. The down side is that I'm just bored of it this way and wanting a change. Yesterday was the big day. I was so worried that while I'd be thankful that it's shorter, I would also regret chopping it. Especially knowing how long it'd take to grow it back out again.
When I got to the salon, I told my stylist that I wanted to shorten it quite a bit. I showed her the picture that I posted in my last post. Before she did the color, she did a rough cut so that she wasn't wasting so much color on hair that would all be cut off anyways. I was so nervous when the hair started to fall on the floor in big piles.
And here was the after! A short, slightly a-lined, bob with balayage blonde woven in. It felt soooo good to have the weight off.
The back has shorter layers.
And this shows the color a bit better.
Ahhh, no regrets at all. I love having shorter hair again. Now I feel very ready for warmer weather and the summer months ahead.
